So this is it. The injections have started!
This drug is called Buserelin and it basically sets my body and my hormones back to neutral. It stops any eggs growing, my ovulation and gets me ready for my eggs to be stimulated in the next phase.

The thought of injecting myself was actually much worse than the actual injecting myself. A few deep breathes and it was all ok. First injection done!
On the second day of injections, Pete did the injection. The thing with IVF is that the majority of it is down to the female and can leave the partner feeling like they aren’t part of it. It was important for Pete to overcome his fears of needles to be able to help me and be a part of this process. He did so well! As you can see by my smile I was really proud of him :).

Update: It has now been 4 injections and it is starting to become quite painful. I think the adrenaline of injecting myself for the first few times has worn off and now it is pretty uncomfortable. Keeping that end goal in my mind as I do it. It will all be worth it…
